Junior Coaching

North Kildare Tennis Club offers coaching all year round for all ages and abilities.

We will shortly welcome a new coach, in the meantime if interested please email nktennisjuniors@gmail.com

Our aim is to provide social and competitive tennis for people of all ages and abilities in a friendly and enjoyable environment. Novice players of any age are always welcome.

Some basic coaching for new players of any age is highly recommended.

North Kildare Tennis Club Safeguarding Policy

There is an introduction and summary about safeguarding.

This policy is fully supported by North Kildare Tennis Club’s management committee, which is responsible for the implementation and review of this policy.

North Kildare Tennis Club will therefore adhere to the following:

  1. Aim to create an enjoyable environment for all juniors who wish to take part in tennis and social activities.

  2. Believe that children and young people have the right to be safe, secure and free from threat.

  3. Believe that young people have the right to be treated with respect, and to have their concerns listened to and acted upon.

  4. Ensure that the needs of junior members are provided for through specific programmes, designated facilities, and safe practice.

  5. Have procedures in place to address poor practice, and to help any young person who appears to be at risk, or who appears to be the victim of abuse.

  6. Offer help and support when a child or young person tells us that they are affected by these issues.

  7. Take steps to ensure that any volunteers or professionals working with children are suitable to do so, through the use of references and background checks.

  8. Ensure that all relevant people have been vetted and approved through the DLTC Criminal Record Bureau disclosure process.

  9. Ensure that all of those working with children are made aware of the DLTC code of conduct for people working with children in tennis, and are required to follow it.

North Kildare Tennis Club has adult members who are specifically trained and responsible for children, young people and safeguarding.
